JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for providing short-term psychotherapeutic services including individual, marital, family and group treatment.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Develops written individual recovery plans.
2. Engages to enhance functioning, effective coping, illness management, self-management, wellness and quality of life.
3. Partners with patient's family, peers, para-professionals and professionals in supporting, monitoring and stabilizing consumers in the community.
4. Participates in community events, human service meetings as appropriate or mandated.
5. Provides case management services.
6. Develops and maintains rich collaborative working relationships with hospital emergency departments, service providers, and agencies.
7. Maintains timely and complete chart documentation.
8. Incorporates use of criteria sets in context of utilization management.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:
Master's degree in social work, Psychology or Counseling

LSW Required. LCSW or LPC license highly pref.

Previous clinical/counseling experience with pediatric population

Hackettstown Medical Center has been providing care to the community since 1973, primarily serving Warren, Sussex and Morris Counties in New Jersey. From preventive services and outpatient testing, to care for minor injuries and life-threatening illness, we offer a wide range of services to keep our local population healthy. ABOUT THE TEAM

At Atlantic Behavioral Health, we know behavioral health plays a significant role in the healing process - not just for patients dealing with mental health disorders or substance abuse, but also for those recovering from injuries, surgeries, diseases, and other conditions. We help them cope with the stress and emotional challenges caused by such physical ailments. Our behavioral health team features highly trained psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and licensed clinicians. We provide a variety of mental health services on an inpatient and outpatient basis, including intensive outpatient programs.
