Company History
United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia was founded in 1962 by a group of citizens in metro Atlanta. These pioneers had a vision of cradle-to-grave community-based supports to meet the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Nearly half a century later, UCP of Georgia stays true to our founders' purpose and its mission of supporting people in a Life Without Limits.
Since its founding, UCP of Georgia has grown into a comprehensive service organization offering a range of supports for people living with any developmental disability (not just those with cerebral palsy). The array of services includes early intervention and therapy in an inclusive child care setting, engaging day supports for seniors, employment services, in-home supports, community living supports, after school care, and day supports.
