Job Description:
The Clinical Therapist will provide comprehensive treatment services to adults and children who have experienced trauma. These services will include extensive psycho-social assessments, testing, development of comprehensive treatment plans, coordination with involved agencies, and provision of intensive trauma treatment. Treatment provided will include long and short-term individual, family and play therapy, and psycho­educational sessions. The Clinical Therapist will serve as a member of the center's multidisciplinary team and participate in weekly staffing meetings to provide feedback and treatment recommendations for children seen for medical evaluation. The Clinical Therapist will provide consultation as needed to the other staff members on complex cases in regard to mental health assessment and treatment. The Clinical Therapist will provide training to students and community mental health providers on an as needed basis. The Clinical Therapist will engage in family advocacy through court testimony and attendance to outside agency reviews is provided on an as needed basis.CLINICAL SUPPORT POSITION – NOT SUBJECT TO STATE HUMAN RESOURCES ACT.The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with ECU Health Medical Center. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a Human Services discipline with coursework related to the area of assignment. Some positions may require certification to practice as a certified or licensed Clinical Social Worker as required by the North Carolina Social Work Certification Board. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
