The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan is seeking a psychiatrist applicant with an interest in administration for a clinical track appointment at the Clinical Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Professor rank (on the clinical track).

The ideal candidate for this position will focus on provision of high-quality clinical care and education at a well-developed, highly multidisciplinary Psychiatry Department. This includes general psychiatric care for adults with a variety of mental health needs, based on skills and interests. The candidate will also be interested in managing the adult ambulatory care clinical workforce, with a title of Associate Medical Director of Ambulatory Psychiatry. In this role, the candidate will facilitate the smooth operation of clinical services including:
Liaison with faculty physicians, psychologists, advance practice providers, social workers, and pharmacy staff.
Share in the teaching responsibilities of medical learners across the healthcare spectrum, typically medical students, house officers and clinical fellows.
Oversee and coordinate care between treatment programs
Provide and coordinate faculty staffing needs for learners
Work to develop and implement innovative models of care to improve access to psychiatric care
Participate in clinic operations meetings

Provide mentorship, didactic teaching, and engage in patient care activities with learners in related disciplines including social work, psychology, and pharmacy.
